So, a while ago I mentioned that we got a new car, but I never said what it was. M.D. has driven a motorcycle since he was a senior in high school, so it was high time for an upgrade. Especially after a summer of South Florida rains. He was never too excited to arrive at school soaked. Now I have to add that he was perfectly OK with this situation, and I asked him if he wanted to get a car multiple times after we moved down here. He finally got sick of the motorcycle sometime in September, and started the hunt for a car.
The men in M.D.’s family have a little bit of an obsession with fast cars. His brother David has worked at a few different car dealerships, and between all of the people in his family they’ve owned a couple of BMWs, a Rousch mustang, a Saturn Sky, and a few Corvettes. For a while M.D. debated between the options, and he finally made a decision: he was going to get a Vette. He test drove one in South Florida, but it wasn’t quite nice enough. David gave us a call a few days later, saying that he found the perfect car for us – in Kansas.
To make a long story short, David did the deal for us and drove our new car all the way down from Kansas to my hometown. From there, my mom drove it to our place in South Florida when she and my sisters came to visit for my birthday. It was quite the adventure, and I’m still not quite used to it, but if you can’t tell, M.D. is pretty much in love with his new car.
