Well, retail stores have gotten me really confused. I was shocked (not in a good way) when HomeGoods pulled out the Christmas decor a week or so ago, but I let it go since it was just a small section behind the Halloween stuff. This weekend I went to buy some Halloween candy for a church event and a pumpkin to carve for home. Imagine my surprise when I see this in aisle in Walmart right up front:
That is just a little crazy. Does anyone buy their Christmas candy 2 months early? Because that’s just a little weird. After Walmart I made a Target run (since Walmart was out of pumpkins). Imagine my surprise when I saw this:
It might look normal at first, but when you look closely you can see the Halloween stuff being taken down and Christmas lights in the back. Were the managers told that Halloween was over? Because it seemed like it! Call me crazy, but I like to fully enjoy one holiday before moving on to the next one. And don’t even get me started on how Thanksgiving gets looked over since Christmas is so close.
Does the fact that I’ve already started my Christmas shopping totally dismiss everything I just said?
